How to connect smart led strip ?

Reseller (sell in the shop, online on website,Walmart,Ebay, Amazon etc)to make it easier for consumers, full kits with color box that’s better.
Project, more DIY ,also some errors are caused by improper operation. 

Low voltage led strips ,there are two kinds of strips. One is normal led strips ,connect power supply it’s turn on, Another is smart led strip,an upgraded version of normal strip.

When you use the smart led strips ,below points are to be noted. 

1.12V ,24V
12V ,It runs only with 12V DC power supply ;24V ,It runs with 24V DC power supply.

2,There is a arrow on the smart strip,please pay attention the arrow’s direction

3.Power 
For all strips you need to be able to supply the feed/power they need.
We use 24V RGB smart led strip, 14.4 W per meter. So this means for a 5 meter length we have a total power consumption of 14.4W/M x 5 meters = 72W the first available power supply that can supply this is 80W. It would work but you would have it working on full capacity and that is not ideally. So go one step higher and connect a 100W power supply.
For example ,we need a 400W power supply for 24v 20meter strip. We would connect it at both sides. So both ends are connected to the power supply.

Kind Reminder :please use same Spec ,same brand power supply in one project.

You bought led strips info :
COB single color ,320leds/m ,8W/M(±10%)
CCT COB ,608leds/m ,7+7W/M(±10%)
RGB smart strip,720leds/m,10W/M(±10%)


You can calculate accordingly.
(However a 400W power supply is big lumpy and can be expensive. You could consider to use amplifiers that get a feed each from a lower wattage power supply.)

12V led strip,5m need one feed

24V led strip,10m need one feed.


(We don’t recommend longer length; 5m/roll, 10m/roll for easy connection)

The main reason why the 12V light strip does not light up when it exceeds 5 meters is the voltage drop and uneven current distribution. When the length of the light strip exceeds 5 meters, the current will gradually weaken during the transmission process, causing the brightness of the light strip to decrease or even go out. This is because voltage is lost during long distance transmission, especially without proper power supply measures.

How can we solve this problem?
1).Double-end power supply: Connect both ends of the light strip to the power supply, which can effectively avoid or reduce the problem of voltage drop. This method is suitable for powering 12V light strips within 10 meters to ensure brightness consistency.


2).Check the power supply and voltage stability : Make sure the power supply can provide stable voltage and enough current to support long-distance lighting strips.If the voltage is unstable or the current is insufficient, the light strip may not light up.

4.Pixels Quantity
Smart led strip ,we also say pixel led strip ,digital led strip and addressable led strip. Each pixel has an IC chip. In the entire system, each pixel can change in color, brightness, etc., thus forming rich running effects such as horse racing, running water, meteor tailing, scanning, etc. When you use controller to control ,you should notice the pixels quantity.
If use mini controller,maximum 50 meters. Longer strips , or used in the projects ,use bigger controller,usually off-line and on-line controller for choice.
How to set the lC model and lC numbers?


Long press the device and click on“change LED Strip Type” to set the lC model Wiring and Sorting,Number of points,number of segment(Total number of points can not exceed 300 in each segmentan2048).On music mode,the total number of points in each segment and the total number of segment should be less than 150 points and 64 segments,the total LED Chip’s quantity should be less than 960

For example ,test 25 meters RGBIC COB smart led strip
Please change Number of points 500 ( 20 IC/M x 25M=500) 


( If points here 300 ,the lights can turn on about half) 

Some issues due to mistake operations:
1.The positive and negative terminals are connected reversely.
2.Input and output direction opposite,light can’t work. 
3.Data wire should connect “-” negative terminals.
4.Please open Reel when testing.


5.Lack of power,please refer to the above power calculations.
6.Wire stripping 4mm-5mm then connect,wire sheath is insulation.
7.The positive and negative wires touched, short circuit.
